B'nei Israel Congregation - San José, Costa Rica |
Every Friday, at 6:30 p.m., we meet at our synagogue to welcome the Shabbat Queen. We pray in Hebrew, with Spanish and English translations. After the service, we share an oneg shabbat, which gives us the chance to let us know each other better and have a pleasant conversation, while we eat delicious treats.
On Saturdays, we meet again at 9:30 a.m., for the Shacharit Shabbat service. We pray and listen attentively to the Torah and Haftarah readings. After the service, we sit down, do the brajot, and enjoy a Shabbat seudah. Of course, we also study and discuss the week’s parashah, and sing Shabbat songs, all in a happy and relaxed atmosphere.
The first Friday of every month, the emphasis is placed on the children. That is why, before the Kabbalat Service, the little ones have a special dinner organized just for them.
Each and every holiday is observed in our congregation. We pray, celebrate, recall, and study together. The festivities of the Jewish calendar are our festivities.
Bruchim ha-bayim to our tefillot! Welcome to our religious services!
